A fast-growing, innovation-led organization in the life sciences sector is looking for a Business Development Director to drive client acquisition across the biotech and pharmaceutical landscape. This position focuses on securing partnerships for early-stage drug development services, with added scope in API and intermediate manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with small to mid-sized biotech and pharma companies
Promote the company’s capabilities in medicinal chemistry, custom synthesis, and integrated drug discovery services
Work closely with internal scientific and technical teams to align services with client needs
Represent the organization at relevant industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of business development experience within CRO/CDMO or drug discovery environments
Background in Chemistry or a related scientific field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level preferred)
Experience in API development or manufacturing sales is a strong plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable operating independently in a remote setting
