A leading player in the industrial precious metals recycling and refining sector is seeking a commercially driven and client-focused Sales / Key Account Manager (m/f/d) to support the launch and commercial development of a newly established refining facility based in Aschaffenburg. This facility services clients across the pharmaceutical, chemical, electronics, new energy, and related sectors that rely on the recovery and reuse of high-value metal residues.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify, research, and engage with potential clients across target industries such as pharma, chemicals, electronics, and battery/new energy technology.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to generate new business in alignment with the company’s growth goals.
  • Prepare compelling commercial proposals, manage contract negotiations, and close new business opportunities.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, and attending relevant industry events and exhibitions.

Key Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customers’ technical and commercial needs, providing tailored solutions that maximize metal recovery and ROI.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations, logistics) to ensure smooth service delivery and transparent communication.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on evolving client requirements and market trends.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor trends in precious metal recycling, green energy transitions, and critical material recovery to anticipate customer needs.
  • Track competitor activities and developments to refine the company’s market positioning.
  • Report on key sales metrics and customer feedback, contributing to business reviews and performance planning.

Candidate Profile

  • Background: Previous experience in the precious metals recycling, refining, or recovery sectors is highly preferred. Exposure to clients in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals) is a distinct advantage.
  • Sales Acumen: A demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets, growing revenue, and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to confidently communicate technical and commercial value propositions.
  • Organizational Fit: Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to the growth of a dynamic, sustainability-focused industrial business.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English is required.
